Fagersta Stainless is one of the world's leading manufacturers of stainless steel rolled wire and drawn wire. Our headquarters and production facilities are located in Fagersta, Sweden. Our rolling mill produces approximately 50,000 tons of rolled wire annually, of which about 10,000 tons are further processed into drawn wire. Fagersta Stainless has an annual turnover of approximately 160 million euros and employs around 250 people. Our products are sold worldwide directly from us or through a network of representatives. Responsibilities

As an Environmental Engineer, you will have a scope of responsibility that includes handling and coordinating environmental issues within the company's environmental management system. Together with the Energy Engineer, you will collaborate with operational managers to ensure that the requirements of the management systems are met and complied with.

You will initiate actions regarding applicable conditions and laws, primarily for the environment, but also for quality, occupational health and safety. You will represent the company in external networks and in contacts regarding external suppliers, inspections, and other controls. As an Environmental Engineer, you will be part of a team with the Energy Engineer as your closest colleague, but you will also be part of a larger team covering process, product, and quality development. You will report to the Technical Manager.

Who will thrive here?

We are looking for you with several years of experience in a similar role. You have a relevant higher education or university degree in the field of environment and sustainability.

You have a desire to contribute to optimizing and streamlining operations based on set corporate goals and current legislation. You enjoy varied tasks and have the ability to both analyze and produce information, both statistically and in writing. This requires strong communication skills as well as the courage to make demands on the operations.

For the position, you are expected to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, good computer literacy, and a driver's license as some travel may be required.
